TBG partners with prominent brands, colleges, sponsors, corporate trademarks, athletes and events to cultivate, diversify and monetize intellectual property through professional brand management and licensing endeavors. When it comes to licensing, The Brandr Group manages and administers the group rights licensing program on behalf of active professional athletes, developing business through group player rights in college for the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) and Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). With years of experience in group rights licensing, we were uniquely positioned to quickly become the industry-leading agency in Student-Athlete group rights for college. This program is a new and exciting opportunity for Student-Athletes to monetize their name, image and likeness in conjunction with University/intellectual property through sponsorship and licensing deals involving multiple Student-Athletes.

 

About the Opportunity 
The Brandr Group (TBG) is seeking an experienced sports marketing and sales leader to create customized, co-branded athlete-endorsement campaigns for entities that wish to leverage Student-Athlete NIL for marketing purposes. The ideal candidate must be willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment and embrace the opportunity to help “write the playbook “for an emerging industry. 5-10 years of sponsorship sales and/or athlete-endorsement sales experience is preferred. With the Corporate Headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, this position has the potential to work remotely within the assigned geographical region. This position will report to EVP, Sales and Business Development. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Pursue, negotiate and secure new group rights marketing packages across TBG's regional portfolio of University affiliates

    • Includes alumni group rights programs at select Universities

  • Serve as regional sales lead for a select group of TBG affiliated Universities

    • Assigned Universities subject to change as TBG portfolio continues to grow

    • Emphasis on extending NIL opportunities beyond "marquee" programs (football and men's basketball) to support all participating Student-Athletes

    • Responsible for managing relationships/in-bound referrals from Athletic Departments and their partners​

    • Responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with licensing and compliance stakeholders at each University within the region

    • Responsible for soliciting campaign approval from the Universities and Student-Athletes (when applicable)

    • Work with TBG Activation Coordinators to confirm execution of contracted campaigns

    • Create and maintain property profile for each University in region

    • Work with each University within region to support Student-Athlete education and program enrollment

    • Support Finance Division on payment confirmation and auditing as needed

  • Work with TBG Licensing Division to drive collaborative deals and maximize value​

  • Other duties as assigned by TBG Leadership
